The legendary director of The Thing, John Carpenter, has just received his well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, California.
Also, I have been given permission to show you some of the art from John Gregory Betancourt's new Thing story, appearing in the anthology Hearts of the Abyss, which you can still pick up here

Leatherbound copies are arriving next week!

Good news -- the specialty hardcover bindery will be finished with the leatherbound copies this week and has them scheduled to ship to us on Nov. 4 -- so the end of the campaign is approaching. Thank you all for your support and patience. The plan is to have everything wrapped up by the end of November.
A few odds and ends:
REMINDER: You can check the statue of your rewards at backerkit.com at any time. If your entry is marked FULFILLED, we think you have received everything. If you believe there is an error, check to see what you actually requested. (You'd be amazed how many people misremember what they requested.)
If you backed for one of the leatherbound copies. remember that we do NOT have them yet, have NOT shipped them, and will NOT be able to ship them until after they arrive.
I know I promised to have a new epub version of The Things from Another World, and it will be finished this week. My fault. I keep not getting to it (there's a lot going on, and it's always more pressing than putting a new cover on an existing ebook!)
One person received a hardcover Things with a damaged dust jacket -- I now have a replacement dust jacket for you, but I can't find the original message. Please send me a private message or email me at wildsidepress (at) yahoo (dot) com and I'll get the replacement off to you.
